Infrastructure in Building Design (WM1TID) – 1 LU hour
Ensuring that client’s get the functional Technology Infrastructure
they need is an essential element in building design. Be able
to determine how a client wants to plan for technology changes,
productivity improvements, growth impacts, and a host of other
issues that drive Technology Infrastructure decisions early in
design. Learn what functional components to look for in a system
that will eliminate the risk to a client’s building investment.
Paving the Way with Telecommunications (00PWT1) – 1.5
LU hours
Understand new design criteria and space/pathway requirements
due to the great increase in business use of the Internet. Design
coordination and budget issues will be emphasized, and attendees
will learn key questions to ask clients, tenants, and other team
members during the design process.
Blending Cabling Pathways with Interior Design (02INT1) - 1 LU
hour
Blending the cable pathways required to support client technology
needs can be a formidable interior design challenge. Creative
planning can solve many of these problems early in the design
process. We will explore numerous solutions to achieve a blending
of pathways and spaces.
