Labor-Saving Divided Raceway

Wiremold® 2400D divided raceway is a compact, dual-compartment system that offers a variety of labor-saving features. Downward-facing device boxes for receptacles and communications jacks feature a unique over-the-raceway design so they can be installed over a continuous run of raceway base, reducing time-consuming cutting. This steel raceway system is a convenient alternative to installing separate raceway runs and device boxes for both power and data in classrooms, retail stores, smaller offices, and similar applications.

High-Capacity Poke-Thru Devices

Evolution™ Series poke-thru Evolution™ Series poke-thru devices offer a truly flush, all-metal cover assembly that allows easy device access with unique spring-loaded slide cable egress doors. These UL® fire classified products maintain the fire rating of the floor slab for up to two hours, and feature TopGuard® protection to meet scrub water exclusion standards.

The Evolution 8AT Series device uses an 8" core hole and provides up to four gangs of power, communication, and/or A/V capability, doubling the capacity of the largest poke-thru device currently offered by any manufacturer. The 6AT series is designed for a 6" core hole and provides up to two-and-one-half gangs of power, communication, and/or A/V capability. The 6AT Series is also available as furniture feed device. These devices accept a wide variety of receptacles, including hospital grade duplex, as well as industry-standard communications and A/V devices from various manufacturers, including Extron® Electronics AAP and MAAP series. Evolution 6AT and 8AT Series devices are also available prewired with factory installed receptacles for faster installation.

Innovative Raceway Offers Contractor Advantages

DS4000® raceway speeds installation by reducing or eliminating field cutting, avoiding on-wall obstacles, and accepting all standard devices. The modular design minimizes the number of cuts required during installation, and the scored base makes cutting easy when needed. Unique adjust-to-fit raceway couplings allow up to 4" of lateral movement so the base can be "stretched" or "compressed" to fit a given space and/or to align mounting holes with studs. The channel divider is integral to the base rather than a separate piece, saving additional time. And obstacle avoidance fittings allow the raceway to bypass existing conduit or small raceway on the wall. DS 4000 raceway is available prewired to job specifications with all circuits and devices exactly as shown on the drawings. Units can be packaged and labeled by a specific room, area, or floor with complete documentation and blueprints. Delivery to the job site can be coordinated for maximum efficiency. On the job, prewired raceway installs in as little as one-third the time required for field-assembled perimeter raceways.

Prewired Raceway Cuts Labor Costs

Prewired raceway installs in as little as one-third the time required for field-assembled perimeter raceways. Unlike field-wired raceway, which requires that the wires be pulled before the devices can be wired, electricians simply mount raceway lengths and connect the feeds. This enables contractors to get off the job faster, so they can take on more work with the same labor. Because these units are fully assembled and ready to install, installation and supervisory time is sharply reduced. Prewired raceway is manufactured to customer specifications, so end-users get the power circuits and devices they need where they need them. Steel, aluminum, and nonmetallic prewired raceway is available in single and multi-compartment profiles. Additional options include a variety of finishes, custom colors, and device openings.

Enhanced Modular Wiring System

The Walkerflex® Access Floor Wiring System combines improved flexibility with easier installation. Faster and more efficient than hard-wiring, the Walkerflex system consists of stranded MC cables, redesigned cable connectors, large-capacity distribution boxes, and home run cables. Walkerflex cable is available in 3- to 10-wire configurations in either 10 AWG or 12 AWG both with a standard 10AWG neutral. The home run cable is an MC type cable consisting of multiple conductors and various gauges. It can be factory wired to the distribution boxes or shipped to the contractor for field installation.

Cable connectors are designed for ease of installation. High-impact-resistant nylon cable connector heads are a flat clamshell design that provides ease of assembly. The heads are also easier to hold and install for faster installation and better ergonomics. Improved pin alignment provides a tighter, worry-free connection with no possibility of "push back." The ground pin is first to mate, last to break. Cable sets can be plugged end-to-end, eliminating the need for extra couplings. When cables are connected an audible snap insures a secure, reliable connection.
